Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 4, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and NEXO for your use of getnexo.in and the NEXO application. Please read them before you use the Service. If you do not agree to them, do not use the Service.
The short version
- NEXO is a relationship CRM for professionals. You must be 18 or over, and during the closed beta you need an invitation.
- Your data stays yours. You give us only the licence we need to run the Service for you, and you can delete everything from Settings.
- When you import other people's details, you are responsible for having the right to share them with us.
- AI output is a suggestion, not advice. Check it before you act on it.
- Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; fees already paid are not refunded.
- Complaints go to our Grievance Officer, in Section 13, and we answer on a stated timeline.
1. The agreement
The Service is operated by NORTHSTAR LABS (NEXO), Kushal Vatika, Ahinsa Marg, Jugsalai, Jamshedpur 831006, Jharkhand, India ("NEXO", "we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle personal data and forms part of this agreement. Where the two documents differ on how personal data is processed, the Privacy Notice governs.
If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, a community or another organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and "you" means that organisation as well as you personally.
2. Words used in these terms
- Service, the NEXO website at getnexo.in, the NEXO web application, and the APIs and features behind them.
- Account, the account created for you to use the Service.
- Your Content, everything you put into NEXO or connect to it: contact records, notes, tags, lists, reminders, meeting transcripts, profile information, uploads and messages.
- Group, a group inside NEXO, such as a cohort, alumni network or organisation, which you can join and whose members can find you.
- Group Admin, a member who administers a Group, including managing its membership.
- Subscription, a paid plan giving access to parts of the Service.
- Third-Party Service, a service you connect to NEXO or that we use to deliver it, such as Google, LinkedIn, a notetaker, a payment gateway or a gifting vendor.
3. Eligibility and access
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service is built for working professionals and is not offered to children.
Closed beta. Access is currently by invitation, and we may grant, limit or withdraw it at our discretion. While the Service is in beta, features may change, break or be removed at short notice, availability is not guaranteed, and you should keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. We will give reasonable notice before removing a feature you are actively paying for.
You confirm that you are not located in a country or territory subject to an embargo by the Government of India, and that you are not on any Government of India list of prohibited or restricted parties under applicable trade, export control or anti-money laundering laws.
4. Your account
You sign in with Google, with LinkedIn, or with a one-time code sent to your email address or WhatsApp number. NEXO does not issue or store passwords.
- Give us accurate account information and keep it current. Do not impersonate anyone or use an identity you are not entitled to.
- Keep the email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp accounts you sign in with secure. Anything done through your Account is treated as done by you.
- Never share a one-time code. We will never ask you for one. Tell us immediately at naman@getnexo.in if you think someone else has access to your Account.
- One person, one Account. Do not share an Account, sell it, or transfer it without our written agreement.
5. Data you bring into NEXO
You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display it, solely to operate the Service for you and the Communities you have joined, and to do the things described in the Privacy Notice. The licence ends when you delete the content or your Account, except for copies in routine backups, which age out.
Other people's personal data. Most of what NEXO holds is information about other people, your contacts, your imported connections, a community roster. When you bring that in, you confirm that:
- you have a lawful basis under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and any other applicable law to share it with us for the purposes in the Privacy Notice;
- you are not breaching a confidentiality obligation, an employment or client agreement, or another platform's terms by uploading it;
- you will keep it accurate, and act on a request from the person it is about, we will also act on such requests directly, as set out in the Privacy Notice.
Do not upload special categories of sensitive information, financial account numbers, government identifiers, health, biometric, caste, religion or political affiliation, into notes or custom fields.
Backups. We take routine backups, but we do not guarantee against loss or corruption, and we are not liable for it. Keep an independent copy of anything critical.
6. Groups and introductions
Joining a Group makes your profile visible to its other members and puts you in its search and introduction routing. Leaving it removes you. What members can and cannot see is set out in the Privacy Notice, in short, your profile is visible; your notes, contacts, calendar and searches are not.
- Group Admins may add and remove members, assign roles, and upload rosters. If you are an Admin, you are responsible for having the right to upload a roster, and for administering the Group lawfully and fairly. We may remove a Group or an Admin that does not.
- Introductions are voluntary. Nobody is obliged to accept a request, we do not promise that any introduction will happen or lead to anything, and we are not a party to what follows.
- What you learn through a Group stays professional. Do not use member information to send bulk unsolicited messages, to recruit or sell at scale against the Group's rules, or to build a competing database.
Communities may set their own rules for membership and conduct. Those rules apply in addition to these terms, and if they conflict, these terms prevail.
7. AI features
Network scan, search ranking, transcript summaries, duplicate detection and gifting suggestions use AI models. You should treat everything they produce as a suggestion:
- Output can be wrong. Summaries can misattribute, matches can be mistaken, and inferred details can be out of date. Check before you rely on it, especially before you contact someone.
- It is not professional advice. Nothing NEXO generates is legal, financial, tax, employment or investment advice.
- You stay in control. Nothing merges, sends or publishes on the basis of AI output alone. No AI feature makes a decision about you with legal or similarly significant effect.
- We do not train models on your data, and providers process it only to answer the request you made. Which providers, and where, is in the Privacy Notice.
8. Integrations and Google data
You can connect Third-Party Services, Google Contacts and Calendar, LinkedIn, a notetaker. Connecting one is optional, each is requested with the narrowest permissions that make the feature work, and you can disconnect at any time.
NEXO's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The full disclosure is in the Privacy Notice.
Your use of a Third-Party Service is governed by that provider's own terms. We do not control them, we are not responsible for what they do or for their availability, and if one changes or withdraws access we may have to change or remove the corresponding NEXO feature. Uploading an export from another platform is your responsibility under that platform's terms.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, bulk-extract or systematically copy data from the Service, or use it to build, train or populate a competing product or a resale database;
- use the Service to send spam, chain messages or unsolicited bulk outreach, or to harvest contact details for that purpose;
- upload anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, discriminatory, or infringing someone's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights;
- upload malware, or attempt to probe, breach, overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or bypass rate limits, access controls or authentication;
- access another person's Account or data, or misrepresent your identity, affiliation or authority, including claiming a profile that is not yours;
- resell, sublicense or provide the Service to a third party except as a permitted user on your own plan;
- use the Service in breach of the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or any other applicable law.
We may investigate suspected breaches and take proportionate action, including removing content, limiting features, or suspending or terminating an Account.
10. Plans, billing and refunds
Parts of the Service require a paid Subscription. The plans, their features and their prices are those shown in the app or agreed in writing with us at the time you subscribe.
- Billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance for the period you choose. Prices are in Indian Rupees and are exclusive of GST and other applicable taxes, which are added at the prevailing rate.
- Auto-renewal. A Subscription renews automatically for the same period, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
- Cancelling. Cancel from your Account settings or by writing to us. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable, including for a period you did not use in full. We consider genuine billing errors and duplicate charges on request and refund them where they are ours.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend paid features until it clears. Your data is not deleted for non-payment; it becomes read-only or limited until the plan is restored or you delete your Account.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice before the change takes effect, so you can cancel first.
- Trials and free plans. Where we offer a trial or a free tier, we may change or end it with reasonable notice. A trial converts to a paid Subscription only if you choose to subscribe.
Payments are processed by our payment gateway. Card and bank details are entered with the gateway, not with NEXO, and are handled under its terms.
11. Gifting orders
Where the Service lets you send a gift, NEXO coordinates the order with third-party vendors and delivery partners. When you place one:
- you confirm the recipient details you give us, name, phone number and delivery address, are accurate and that you may share them for this purpose;
- the goods are supplied by the vendor, subject to availability, and images and descriptions are indicative; a substitution of equivalent value may be made where a vendor cannot fulfil an item;
- delivery dates are estimates. We will tell you if an order fails, and refund what cannot be delivered;
- once an order is placed with a vendor it usually cannot be cancelled or changed. Tell us as early as possible and we will try;
- complaints about a delivered item are handled by us with the vendor. Our liability for a gifting order is limited to its value.
12. Intellectual property and feedback
The Service, its software, design, branding and content, excluding Your Content, belongs to NEXO and its licensors and is protected by Indian and foreign law. These terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service, and nothing else. Do not use our name, logo or trade dress without our written consent.
Feedback. If you send us suggestions or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use them without restriction or obligation to you. Do not send us anything you consider confidential.
13. Complaints and takedowns
We have designated a Grievance Officer under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your Account from Settings → Delete My Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your data as described in the Privacy Notice.
We may suspend or terminate your Account, with notice where practical and immediately where not, if you materially breach these terms, if your use puts the Service or other users at risk, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate without cause, we refund the unused portion of any Subscription you have paid for.

15. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.

- any introduction, meeting, relationship or business outcome will result from using the Service;
- defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of harmful components.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, and where that applies to you, these exclusions apply to the greatest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.
16. Limitation of liability

We will tell you promptly about any such claim and give you a reasonable opportunity to take part in the defence.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, excluding its conflict of law rules.

19. General

- Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, it is read down to the extent needed to make it enforceable and the rest stays in force.
- Waiver. Not enforcing a right on one occasion does not waive it, and waiving one breach does not waive later ones.
- Assignment. You may not assign these terms without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of the business.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including outages at infrastructure or Third-Party Service providers.
- Notices. We contact you at the email address on your Account. You contact us at the address in Section 21.
- Language. If these terms are translated, the English version prevails in a dispute.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service and the law change. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. For a material change we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, stop using the Service and delete your Account.
